How to Tell Which Airsoft Gun is Right For You

Airsoft guns have become a popular hobby for many people. If you are looking to get into the sport of airsoft, you may have questions about what style of gun is proper for you.
First: Decide on your price-point
Airsoft guns are available in a variety of price ranges, so it is important to get a sense of how much you want to pay. If you are new to the sport, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money on a high- end gun. Base this decision on how much involvement you plan in the sport.
Second: Choosing entry-level guns
Most entry-level guns will cost between $100 and $160. There are good entry-level guns made by JG, Echo 1, Classic Army Sportline and G&G Affordable Series. These are fine weapons for the beginner, but do not quite rise to the level of the more expensive guns.
Third: Higher-end Airsoft guns
If you are willing to spend a little more or have a greater interest in the sport, you will want to start looking at guns in the range of $250 to $300. At this price range, you start finding more high-end weapons like the Classic Army M4 and M16. These are very popular with more competitive airsoft enthusiasts, but you will want to make sure that you pick the gun that is best suited to you. The M4 and M16 have a variety of accessories and upgrades available. If you want to play woodland airsoft, any model is fine, but avoid a full-length M16 if you want to play airsoft CQB.
Fourth: Other styles
In addition to the M16 style guns, the MP5 style is very popular. However, it lacks the available upgrades and accessories that the M16 has. There are also AK-47 and AK-74 style weapons. These have a variety of internal variations, but also lack the external accessories that are available for the more popular styles.
